So here is the kitchen! White Cabinetry with Butcher Block Counters. An under mount sink with custom restaurant style faucet. As described numerous times over the course of this narration on the kitchen, we are using the pantry addition to create a full run of cabinets that we have been able to smoothly integrate the kitchen and a stand up pantry into the overall plan making it a very functional kitchen layout. We have also been able to build the original kitchen wall out 6.5 inches to make for a clean and uninterrupted run from the kitchen into the old pantry that was once operated by an arch that we have moved and reinforced.
This lightly different perspective shows that there are also front top hinged cabinets above a double pot drawer unit between the fridge and dishwasher. The kitchen will also have a tumbled marble backsplash and wood floors.
This view will show the cabinet bases 42″ high between the LR and DR where a breakfast bar will be installed but we decided to get some more storage out of the kitchen for items not used daily on the base. Not that the kitchen will have three windows so ample light and we have put in 12 – 4 inch can lights to really make this kitchen feel like a cross between modern (layout and convenience) and traditional (wood floors/original windows/white plain faces/antique hardware and wood butcher block counters).
This three dimensional view will give a better idea of the overall look. The variety in height, the 42″ upper cabinters, pot drawer, soft close doors and drawers and a large Lazy Susan are all features that a home of this post renovation price. We have also purchased a Whirlpool high end stainless steel suite for this property. Please not the window is not actual as to size or style.
